Like Mother , Like Daughter......
The Resident bit of Glamour turned 25 yesterday and had the shittiest birthday ever...!!!
Here she is aged 2...we used to call her Pebbles..!!!
She hasn't altered much has she..?? This was in the summer when she was fit and healthy.
This is how she is normally to be found....socialising and having fun...
And this should have been her yesterday.... kicking up her heels and celebrating her 25th year
Unfortunately she is following in my footsteps and spending it, in isolation, in the Acute Care Ward of the Hospital..!!!!
She has been extremely ill with swine flu for the last 2 weeks, and has spent a very miserable and bed bound Christmas. Unfortunately she hasn't been getting any better, despite being told to be patient..!!!!
I called round with her presents, took one look, and transported her straight to the hospital. She is now being bombarded with fluids, antibiotics, pain relief etc. She has a serious infection somewher in her body, they just can't seem to locate where it is. Sounds familiar, doesn't it...? Staff have to don gowns, gloves and even face masks before they can attend to her. She is so poorly that she is just thankful to be there.!!! which is really saying something. Not one card or pressie has been looked at, never mind opened, and I don't think a drip dull of fluids counts as a celebratory drink, do you.
But like me, she is a fighter and will not be beaten, so I am sure she will soon be back on her feet and fighting fit. Please keep Jay in your thoughts and wish her well on her way to a speedy recovery.

"Did I tell you about the time, on the way home from church , I killed a goat" !!!!
Well I,m still here, nothing broken, just battered and bruised, lol. Despite that we had a great day in the beginners Art Journal workshop. Unfortunately, due to the ice we were waaaaaay down in numbers with only four making it. Today was all about hidden journaling and so they spent the first hour expressing what Christmas meant to them. We then chopped it all up and altered it into the following. I was sooooo pleased with them all as they all concentrated so hard and produced stunning results.
This is the lovely Donna's, who came bearing gifts of book pages in French, German and Welsh. Much handier than the usual Gold, Frankinsence and Myrrh, don't you think..??
This was the lovely Ann's to whom the title of this post is dedicated. Yes, she actually came out with this quote during the lesson. I tell you, you needed to be there to appreciate it. Another of her little gem's was
"Let me tell you about the time I failed as a Morris dancer"...
Oh yes it's gems like these that keep me going, lmao...
She also arrived bearing gifts in the shape of Christmas crackers. Unfortunately it was only when I was walking into the supermarket that I realised, from the strange looks, I was still wearing the frikkin paper hat.!!
This next one is the lovely Gill's, whose 7 yr old daughter has asked for one of my classes as her Christmas pressie this year. Awwwww how sweet is that..??
And last but not least, the other lovely Gill, who faced the unenviable task of eating all the unwanted, left over Snickers from the tin of Celebrations..!!!
And heres my contribution to the proceedings
And the next two Advent tags
Right its after midnight, I have finished all but one of the preview projects, yes you heard correctly.. What do you mean you're shocked.?? How ruuuuuude...!!!!!, lol.
The studio is spotless ( yeah right ) just needs hoovering, the projects are in place, the demo stands are in position, buns and biccies bought, diary updated, kettle filled, lilies in vase, blue lollipops hidden from Bezzie, boots polished and any minute now blog will be posted. Yayy..so its goodnight from me, and I'll see you all tomorrow. Doors open at 10am...

Down with a bang..!!!
This is going to be a real quickie, as I have been in the wars a bit. I got out of the car at the bottom of the studio steps, turned to activate the central locking and didn't spot the black ice. My feet went from under me and I landed firstly on my left elbow and then my shoulder. Luckily my head didnt hit the ground as it was saved by smacking into The Babes car instead..!¬!! I have ripped clothes and unfortunately ripped skin. I am extremely tender and struggling to type, so without further ado heres the next two Advent tags
Just be careful when you're out and about.....

Well blow me down with with a feather duster....!!!!
Well fingers crossed, its looking good...The pictures seem to be uploading themselves okey dokey tonight...
The first set are from a canvas class I taught last week. These were the results using my Dylusions paints and inks. Fabby arent they.
They then used all my stamp images to decorate but forgot to take photos of them. oops...
The following photos are from The Fabby Dabby weekend.
They were an extremely lively bunch and we had a fabulous time. But this was the state of me when they had all gone.
So I took myself off home and lounged comatose on the couch whilst watching Sky +. Two episodes of Lock Up and the funniest Christmas movie ever...Elf. Good times.
So to the Advent challenge. I have been making them every day, just completely running out of time to post them!!! So for the next 7 days I will post 2 a day..
Enjoy xx
