Sooooo proud....!!!!

Well the kids in my classes have excelled themselves this Christmas. They have worked soooooo hard for the last term and I am sooooooo proud of them. They have completed 3 hard projects all at once. It has been a hard slog for them, and at times I think they felt they were't getting anywhere. But just look at their proud faces here when they realised it was all worth it.

Here's Dexia

Christmas Cheer

Today was massive clean up day at home in readiness for ....wait for it.... Yayy the Chrissy decorations. James said he would help me get them down from the loft, ha ha . Half an hour later he couldnt believe we were still at it. I dont think hes seen that many decorations in his life, lmao. With that he made a quick exit to the gym and left me to it. A wise decision. These are just some of the boxes

Bare trees look horrible dont they..??

Yes they were originally lightbulbs..!!!

Baubles

Baubles

and more baubles.

I love dressing the tree, but I had really mixed feelings today. Every bauble holds so many memories, and the tears didnt seem to stop coming. Can,t decide if I,m looking forward to it or not. Its going to be so different this year. On the minus side theres no Mum and Dad, and the girlies , bless them, are going away. On the plus side, James is home and we have Maisie Christmas Eve..!!

Anyway heres how the house is looking now.

I love my hand painted baubles.

And I have a full set of these Gisella Graham dolly birds.

Maisie loves all these and spends hours talking to them, lol.

These stockings hold lots of memories and are draped across the window pole.

Guess what these are..

Yes they started life as wooden candlesticks.

And these are Ben,s favourite of the ornaments.

Wednesday is Christmas Craft Day, so if you are free come along and join us. Elaine the Baker is putting in an appearance so there will be loads of baking..Yayy...!!! And I will be singing along badly to carols all day, woop, woop. See you there.

Journal Love

Luvvly jubbly day, today at Art Journaling. I love it and the people there, it is so relaxing. The lovely Olive baked a cake as usual, this time it was chocolate orange with extra thick cream, and Kate brought after dinner treats, so it was a bit of a choc fest..!!!

This is the lovely Olive.

Olive brought me a beautiful gift, it is a journal, called The Poets Notebook. Each page has a quote or prompt on it and I cant wait to start. I now have 11 journals on the go, lol. Thanks babe. xxx Nip over to her blog, she is quite new to Art from the Heart, but it feels like she's been with us forever.

Bezzie Su brought along some Christmas cards she has been making, I just love them.

She covered the card in Distress ink, spritzed a stamp with pearly solution and stamped onto the card leaving a gorgeously subtle effect. She then shrank my house downloads and popped them on with a star. How cool
is that ..???

Today in class we started on our round robin journals. I gave everyone an A5 book and their mission was to decorate the covers, create a sign in page, and do a double spread about themselves. We had a great time doing them, and I loved what they have done sofar. Biggest surprise of the day was newcomer Pat, who created stunning pages, despite having no previous experience.

Heres my double spread. I just need to find a picture of my boat race and its done.

I did the front and back covers of it with my  ephemera downloads and the white souffle pen.

They are all bringing them back in January, ready for the swap to begin. Can't wait...Still havent got my Round the World one back, 14 months later. I have an awful feeling that its got lost...

Just like to point out that the gorgeous tea tonight of Cajun Beef and noodles was cooked by the one and only, yours truly. Yes you heard that correctly. I ventured into the kitchen and cooked. Well it is nearly Christmas, lmao...

Heres a puzzle for you... Can you tell what Our Ben had me doing this afternoon...??

Bet you cant guess, can you..???  It is the rugby club Christmas do tonight and Our Ben is organising it. The theme this year is Ho down. Yup a cowboy inspired event. The telephone call went like this.

Ben  " can you do me a favour..?"

Me  "course I can babe, what is it..?"

Ben " I need 5 cactus, a cockerel and a saloon sign"

Me  " you winding me up..??"

Ben "No I,m serious and the lovely Katie will pick them up at 6"

Hilarious yeah..??? Anyway here they are in all their glory.

And here's the lovely Katie picking them up.

It was a painting class today, and the girlies were fab.

Heres Chris and Theresa

Giddy and giddier (Denny and Sue) and Clare.

Heres the finished result, I am soooooooo impressed. I just hope they realise how fabulous they are....!!!

Talking about fabulous, you need to pop over to Dee's blog where she has made some ace candles using the Blonde Moments stamps. I think I will be purloining that idea for pressies. She has also done some fabby things with my embossing powders and baubles. Now I would never have thought of doing that with them.
Nice one babe..xx

Need to dash now as this is what he's cooked for me tonight.. Aww might keep him..lmao

Right I,ll be back tomorrow with some amazing news.
 Clue -

3.  Ranger Signature Designer

Woop woop de f**king woop...!!!!!

Yup I know I'm in big trouble for not blogging, so I am going to make you all a priority over the weekend, honest.  Have to spend the day sorting out Mum's house as completion is any day now. Not looking forward to it as you can imagine and have been putting it off for ever, but today's the day..!!!
Didnt get to Lily Allen last night, the traffic on the motorway was soooooo bad, think there must have been an accident. After sitting in it for ages, I went off the idea and abndoned ship. But I did stick her on the Ipod and sang along very badly, much to James's disgust, lmao. Really want to get the Chrissy Decs out and sorted but I've got a really busy weekend. Snowman painting class tomorrow, and on Sunday it's my fave , Art Journaling... We are starting the Round Robin so get yourself there..Right gonna get my arse into gear and sieze the day..!!! Well mebbes I'll have a cuppa first, lmao.

See you later today,
