Blog winner of the Artsy Ornament class...

and the winner is…

Penny Langenbach said...
I would love to nominate my mom, Jo Seymour. She is an amazing woman who has been through a lot these last few years. Her faith and her art have kept her going. I know she would love love love the opportunity to take this class. Please consider my mom. I would be very grateful.

Penny if you can let me know your Mums email I will get the details sent to her. Congratulations.

Heres a sneak peek of my contribution

I would also like to pay tribute to a lovely lovely lady who lost her battle with life earlier this week.

I first met Gwen when she came to one of my art journaling beginner classes. She was very timid and struggling with a lot of things going on in her life. Through the years I watched her grow and blossom into a vibrant, confident, empowered woman.
I will always remember the impromptu belly dance demonstrations, her hilarious tales of drinking Limoncello, her fascinating stories of her time in Japan with her partner Jayne, her determination to conquer her fear of driving so she could come to classes, her love of owls and cats, her refusal to give in and her infectious laugh.
Just writing this has me in floods of tears. She touched a lot of hearts and made this world a better place.
I will miss you sweetheart and I am so sorry you never stayed long enough to fulfil all your hopes and dreams. I wish you had known just how loved by people you were.
Fly high gorgeous, fly strong and free. xx

Next journaling class will be Limoncello all round.

Salem Portland.

I have just come back from a weekend teaching in Salem where I had an absolutely fabulous time. The store, Runaway arts and Crafts is owned by the wonderful Christy and her amazing staff.

I appear to have lost the first 10 pictures, obviously swirling around in cyberspace somewhere lol

Take a look at the high teaching surface Christy"s ever accommodating hubby, Michael, made for me !!! Fabulous and really saves my back.

Some of the results from one of the first days class

The gorgeous Kelsey, painted her own version of me, using my Dylusions. ( Obviously in my younger slimmer days lmao)

Sundays all day workshop was packed to the hilt.

It has become a standing joke that wherever I go I take the rain with me, but this was amazing. A unheard of storm and the heavens opened !!

Thankyou Christy, staff and all you gorgeous artists who attended, you were fabby.

If you want to read a fabulous write up ( so fabulous that I am blushing) go HERE for Chrissies take on the weekend.

Love this photo she took of me with my alter ego!!

Yesterday I flew out of Portland to Phoenix and caught this wonderful photo on the way.

Rocking it in San Jose...

After a very short turnaround of only 6 days I was hotfooting it back to the States trialing a new hairstyle.

Trying out styles for Our Bens wedding in December, think I quite like the straight sophisticated look for a change…

After spending 29 hours in airports, and aeroplanes I finally made it to San Jose.

I have taught before at Scrapbook Island, but they have just moved stores and I was the first teacher in their new classroom.

Love this picture of me and the owner Laurie. She has become a dear friend and we have some escapades together.

It was a hectic schedule with 2 full days of teaching to over flowing classes

Fabulous to see some youngsters in my class

The lovely Chrissie made me a doll in my image which was freakishly correct even down to the tattoos. I will get a better picture for you tomorrow.

Time for lunch at one of my fave pit stops, Panda Express.

And then its time to move onward. This time to Runaway Arts and Crafts in Salem, Oregon.

I started some doodling on the plane, which I am going to continue whilst having a lazy morning!

 Enjoy xx

at home with the beginners,,,

One of the reasons for my flying visit home was to spend the weekend teaching a beginners art journaling weekend. Unfortunately I forgot to take many pictures but here's what I have.

Its always lovely to come back and teach in my own studio. Thank you lovely ladies for a fabulous weekend.

Today was spent filming at Reaveley Towers, trying to catch up on the back log. It was made possible by vintage kaftans and copious amounts of tea !!!

And I'll leave you with a journal page…

Enjoy xx
