First off we have my stencils and red rubber stamp sets.

Those of you who have known me a long time knew that before I joined Ranger we had a range of paints in the Dylusions line. I am so unbelievably excited to announce that we are launching a new range at this show. 12 gorgeous colours that perfectly match the first 12 spray inks we brought out.

Just read the blurb and tell me you're not wetting yourself??? This is paint unlike any other.

My paints have been a long time in the making, getting the formulation to EXACTLY how I wanted. I am a real stickler when it comes to quality and performance. If it has my name on it, it has to be perfect for my requirements, and this paint is exactly that.

The paint is easily blend able yet waterproof, dries quickly to a matte finish ( extremely important to me), accepts all types of writing inks without clogging up the pens, perfectly compatible with the line of Dylusions inks, fluid…not too thick and not too thin, in a jar with a wide opening, perfect for art tools, brushes and fingers alike, in other words…Dylusions paint is FABULOUS.

Developed with the art journaler in mind, use Dylusions paints to create beautifully blended backgrounds on paper. Their quick drying time makes journaling and doodling fast and easy, pages won't stick together. Break out your favourite rubber stamps and archival inks and stamp onto the top of the dry painted surface. Use the paint with Dylusions stencils and the Mini  blending tool, or brayer to create quick but fabulous backgrounds. Cleans up easily with soap and warm water.

 And believe it or not, even though it practically killed me to sit down and concentrate!!!! I have put together another book. Just to let you know this book would not have transpired with out the bullying ( sorry encouragement ) and photographic skills of the one and only Tim Holtz, and the fabulous editing and design skills of Brianna from the Art department. I salute you both.  Mwah.

Is it just me…???

I'm sat in my hotel room in Anaheim, its 4 in the morning and I can't frikkin sleep.!!!

Me thinks its all the excitement.

My journey started 29 hrs ago, when I treated myself to a first class up grade for the first flight of 10 1/2 hrs. Worth every penny. BTW that is sparkling water in my hand, but I do confess to having a large Baileys after lunch, lol.

My tip for a long journey is to always have your journal close to hand, and a good audio book. With both of those I can survive almost anything!!

After landing in Charlotte, I had a few hrs layover before my next 5 1/2 hr flight to LAX. I was relaxing so much I almost missed the flight!!! I boarded with seconds to spare, but had to put my carry ons in the hold. 5 1/2 hrs with nothing to do, but listen to the grunts, cries and snores of fellow passengers can very nearly tip you over the edge.

BTW my boots are very special to me, I own the right one and the lovely Gentleman Jim and the gorgeous Cesar own the left one. They are hand embroidered Old Gringos and are really rare. Hence I could only afford the one, lmao.

So arriving at LAX and getting the Super Shuttle sounds easy, doesn't it????  Errr no, this is me we are talking. 

BUT… 3 hrs later I finally arrived at the hotel, checked in and started to run a much needed hot bath. What could go wrong.??

While the bath was running I nipped across the corridor to get a drink from the vending machine and couldn't get back in my room. Neither of the keys would work!! So I hotfooted it down to reception, where they insisted on ID.

Sounds simple, but they wouldn't take any old ID…..not a credit card, or anything in my purse, not even my Hilton Honours card which was matched to the room, no they wanted photo ID. And all the time the bath in the room is filling up. The man who had checked me in 10 mins previously had just gone off duty and no one seemed prepared to let me back in the room. 

Well after 28 hrs awake you can imagine how well that went down with me!!!

So one diva strop later and I was back in the room, with 1 inch to spare in the bath…accompanied by a member of staff who still needed to see my ID. Yes you can't make it up can you???

After all that my bath was fabulous, but now I am wide awake lol and need to be and on the show floor in 3 1/2 hours as I have tons to prep and do.

But whilst I am awake I am going to do the next blog post, which will contain all my new releases.

Whoop de frikkin whoop…I can hardly contain my excitement.

First of the new releases...

As you know, this week is the run up to one of the biggest trade shows in the Craft Industry…CHA in Aneheim. This means all week long Ranger will be previewing all their new releases.

This first release contains a product I have been keeping my fingers crossed for over 18 mths…

And its finally here in my grubby little hands and could soon be in yours.

So what is it, I hear you cry??

The paper in my journal was picked by me as it works the way I want it to with my products, and I get asked all the time what it is. It, in fact, the only paper I use, nothing else gives any where near the fabulous result I get when using it. I love it so much that I take new journals and rip the pages out to use and have begged for ages to have it available loose.

And yes my begging and pleading ( and a ton of whining!!!! ) has paid off and my prayers have been answered. 

We have released it in packs of 10 sheets, whoop de frikkin whoop!! No more annihilating my journals.

Each sheet is 8 1/2 x 11 inches of pure smooth creaminess. Although I use it primarily for inks ( once you have ghosted with it you will ooh and aah ), it is also suitable for a variety of other mediums, i.e., paints, stains, ink pads, and tons of techniques.

All my stamping is done on it, as it is a really smooth surface. I always prefer to work on a off white colour as I think it sits truer especially when coloured.I will be ordering it by the container full, lol.

Long time no blog!!!

Sorry about that but life has been manic to say the least, even without Christmas and New Year!!!

First off was Our Ben and the lovely Katies Christmas wedding.

It was a beautiful, albeit emotional, day all round. So strange to see one of your children doing something so grown up. He looked so proud and handsome, and Katie looked spectacular. My first sight of each of them turned me into a blubbering mess. The weather stayed crisp and clear, thankfully ensuring we all had a wonderful time.

Here's a few high lights.

Now I know many of you assume I live my life in glamour (he he…not!!), so here's a shot of me, the morning of the wedding.

And, as if by magic, here I am a few hours later, all scrubbed up…

Christmas eve saw me and The Babe of Deliciousness hotfooting it off to foreign sands. Yes, we had decided to spend the holidays in Tunisia.

We had a bungalow on the beach and just slept and journaled (ok that was just me !) all week.

I did turn into crazy cat lady…feeding all and sundry…

Even rescuing abandoned kittens from the storm…

Unfortunately, we contracted a gastric type of flu and have spent the last 5 days not venturing far from bedroom and bathroom. We look and feel like death warmed up and totally bypassed New Year and any of its celebrations.

But illness or not, CHA is fast upon us, in fact I leave in 3 days. 

And CHA means one thing…

Samples, samples and more samples…..

I am launching all new items at the show so The Resident Bit of Glamour and I have been working our fingers to the bone. I will reveal more as the week goes on.
