My adventures so far...

I am here in sunny Florida with the fabulous Jill. Love her so much. Staying with her is a joy and one of the 3 place in the US I like to call home, lol. How lucky am I. Two homes in England  and three in America!!!  I like to think of myself as a treasured house guest, but in reality I am, probably, more of a squatter he he.

Unfortunately I seem to have brought the rain. Not just a fine mist either more like a frikkin monsoon, lol. Sorry about that.

But just look at this fantastic sunset from the other evening.

I am here at Whimsodoodle in St Petersburg, teaching stitched canvas classes and having a fabulous time. Unfortunately, so far I haven't taken many photos at all :-( . But we have had full classes bursting with creativity and fun.

How cool is this welcome? But who is this polished lady on the sign??

Sunday was the stitched canvas journal

After class we did a bit of shopping at Target, where they had the biggest selection of Monster High dolls I have ever seen. It was agonising deciding which ones I needed and which to leave behind. Before you all judge, they are for inspiration not for playing !!!! lmao...

Before the class started on Monday evening I had a visitor. The lovely Mary, after finishing the Sunday class, had rushed home to make this layout of her day. That was so lovely of her.

How (ab)fabulous is this. I added the Patsy and Eddie tags, lol.

Thank you Mary, you are a doll.

Monday nights class was once again packed with excited ladies and once again I forgot to take any photos until the end.

The class was stitched canvas Christmas decorations.

Works in progress.

I have one more class this evening and we do have a few seats still available. This is what we will be making, stitched canvas guardian girl tags.

If you would like to join us please call  727-827-4911 to reserve a place. Beginners welcome.

I own all the delusional spays and journals but have not tried the stamps. They are hard to find here, but if I could get my hand on them I know they would all be my faves! I love the seeing all your artwork and colors used. I also have four children that absolutely think your the coolest artist around that can't keep there hands off all my dylusional products😊! Thanks for all the great inspiration !!

What a great release! I adore Clearly the Right Words. I'm working on a journal to give to my mom & this stamp set is just what I need for some of the pages.

Oh Dyan. I am so I love with all your stamps, stencils, colors. Everything. And the paper towels too. What a brilliant idea. Your videos are priceless. I love the fact that some of your stamps are smaller for my card making, although I've used the large ones anyway. It's all good. And now rubber on wood also. Fabulous. The doodles and borders are my favorites, but then, so are the words. I wish I could afford them all!

New AFTH journaling dates, and fun with found relatives…UPDATED WITH LINK)

At the moment I am struggling to find dates to fit in my regular journaling workshops at Art from the Heart, but I have found two I can squeeze in.
The first is a week on Sunday, 14th Sept and it will combine the Friday and the Sunday regulars, so seats will be limited.
I'm then leaving for the US again but I am flying back in to teach a weekend retreat in November so will squeeze another date in there.
That will be Friday 7th November. Again it will combine Friday and Sunday regulars.
Please note both of these dates are for the regulars who attend both of these closed groups.

You will find me at Art from the Heart on Saturday the 13th Sept at our Open day/Preview day. This is where we preview all the available classes for the Oct/Nov and December.
Instead of our taster classes we are having a Workshop sale, yes Our Ben has got me clearing the studio of products we no longer have room for. so come along and grab a previously used bargain.

I popped into the shop today and surprised two lovely customers, one all the way from Australia and one from New Zealand. Mind you I'm not actually sure who was the most shocked to see me appear, the ladies or Our Ben !!!
He was unpacking the new deliveries which amongst many gorgeous goodies, contained some of the new Tim Holtz Idea-ology. I can't link you as they are not on the website at the mo,(UPDATE GO HERE) but they include the new seasonal Found Relatives, which reminded me I had never shown you what I got up to with the original set.

A few weeks ago the fabulous Dina Wakely had some on her blog which she had tarted up with paint and neocolours. Go see HERE

I have a slightly different approach and use my trusty Posca Paint Markers. I have used practically every marker going and these still remain my favourites.

The Found Relatives I used are THESE

I managed an hour out in the garden this afternoon with my lovely Pusscat and this is what I was up to using the spade mask from my Suits stencil.
