From bad to good...

I need to start tonight's blog off with not a very nice subject, unfortunately. The Friday of Dina's visit to my studio, one of my journals "disappeared" and is still on the missing list. This wasn't just any old journal though, this one represented hours and hours of work. It contained all the artwork and all the samples and promo for my new range of stamps. It really is of no use to anyone at all, but means a great deal to me, and at this moment there is no way that I have the time or the energy to reproduce it.  I know that it wasn't taken accidentally and so I am making a plea from the heart for it to be returned. If anyone has any info at all I would be soooooo grateful. I have no desire to know who , I would just like to have it back.. Thanks :-)

Now onto happier news, I am once again teaching breakfast workshops at The Harrogate Show ( GNPE), here is the description of the class.

Altered Originals Tag delight

In this workshop we will be using my new range of Altered Originals. Gorgeously intense Spray inks combined with paints, masks, gesso and doodling make a stunning backgrounds. Topped off with the premier of the new range of rubber stamps. What more could you want.?? Oh yes a discount voucher and a goody bag, of course.!!!!

If you want to join in the fun you can book your place HERE.  You pay a deposit now and then the remainder of the money on the day. Please can I give a plea that you come with the correct money, then I don't have to give all my change away, lol.

Also running at the show is a new event based on Ready, Steady, Cook. I have been invited to be one of the "chefs" who has to produce a masterpiece from a basket of unknown goodies. So you need to be around Sunday afternoon to witness the fun. I just know I am going to be given peel offs and glitter., lol !!

I,ve also got some design team work to show you. Bezzie Su has been working her magic with the inks, not on a journal page or a card, but a massive roller blind. Yes, you heard me correctly, a roller blind for her daughters bedroom. Take a look at this..

getting the inks out..

Trialing the colours...

Laying out the hand cut stencils

Work in progress

The finished blind

Hanging proudly in place

How fabby does that look..??  Nice one bezzie, I love it.

I,ve just eaten treacle tart and custard, purely for medicinal purposes you have to understand, lol. So off for a lie down.

Enjoy xx

Unfortunately I'm away that weekend, but it sounds fabby-dabby-dozie. Glad to hear you sounding more like yourself, hope you are still taking it easy though!

Glad to see you back Dyan and hope your journal pitches up soon. It's a sad time when precious artwork goes missing, I have lost some from the shop a few times too. As for your treacle tart and custard, well I have heard tell of its wondrous medicinal effects so heartily agree. I had a Sainsburys lemon and white chocolate cookie for purely the same reason tonight. Take it easy x

That is too bad about your journal. I sure hope you get it back and soon! People can sure be disappointing sometimes, can't they.

The "art blinds" was such a cool idea. Making art has no limitations.

Hope you are feeling better.

It's lovely to have you back blogging. I hope you are feeling 100% well again, as it must have been something really bad to stop you in your tracks.
So sorry to hear about your missing journal. I do hope it is returned safe and sound. I really don't know how people can do this to you. If your plee doesn't work and you are short of samples I'd be happy to help. I know I'm not up to your standards but if you could give me a sneeky peek of the stamps I'll happily buy my favorite (already intend to buy one) and get cracking - of course I would need to fill my basket with your new inks too :-)
Bessie Sue is amazing, I love what she has done with the blind.
Have a lovely weekend. Anne E x

So sad to hear that someone in the crafting clan is light-fingered. You'd like to think we all have a bit more respect for each other's work . . .
Will be bringing my mum along to the Sunday GNPE workshop - can't wait!! So relieved you're feeling well enough to be there. Will you be bringing along some treacle tart? Pretty please?! x

How could you eat treacle tart without me??
All your journals are precious baby - there are no 'any old journals' I hope who ever has it gets some serious conscience pokes and returns it.
Can't wait for tonight - best end to first day back at work after hols is to come and play at AFTH.
And I also love Georgia's blind, thank you all for the lovely comments - she wouldn't let me do the outlining - not sure why - mebs I'll creep in and finish it off whilst she is sleeping ;0)

Dyan

hope you are well on ther road to recovering, mwah.
How someone could take your journal is beyond me, you must be gutted.
Will be taking your class at the show again with my sisters, all booked and ready to go, see you there, Debbie xx

Oh no! I am so sorry about your journal! That is a nightmare because I am sure you put so much work into that. Journals are very personal to the artist who created it! I pray you get it back.
On another note I love your finished piece!

Hello Mrs Inky Dinky - you're back! Glad you're making sure you're 'nutritionally topped up'...you must keep your strength up with treacle tart and such like...
I'm wondering if Bezzie Sue is thinking of a change of career? Interior designs perhaps? First that wardrobe thingy, now a blind - which is pretty cool I must say.

that blind is delish as is treacle tart and custard, so sorry to hear someone has taken advantage of your sharing nature , , hope it returns soon :)

So glad you're sounding more like you on the blog. You have been missed. I hope the person who 'borrowed' your journal returns it. It is a very uncomfortable feeling that someone on the Dina Friday course with me could have done such a thing. I hope it comes back very soon. Hope to see you soon. X C

Su the blind is just great. Perhaps you could do a class? x C

LOVE that blind - well done Su!! Was just wondering about the journal the other day - thought it must have turned up since you hadn't mentioned it. Feel sad that it hasn't Dy, really hope that your appeal works. Have a great time at the GNPE, sounds like it will be fab!! xx

Give it back you light fingered tea leaf!!! It's not too late to get a conscience , chuck it in a jiffy bag and post it back.
