It's a hard life.....

This is my route to work every morning in LA.

whilst drinking Starbucks English tea with heavy whip cream...sigh....

Spent a lot of time with the gorgeously gorgeous Dina today and we had a ball. One of my heroines/lady loves is the fabulously talented Alisa Burke, and both Dina and I have worshipped her from afar. Well today we went and stalked her, lol.!! Eventually after lurking in the shadows, I decided to say hello and she is truly as fabulous as she seems. Unfortunately she is tiny, in both height and proportions, so me and Dina felt a little Amazonion to say the least..!!
We had a really cool chat and she even came over to see my work later...ooooh, I'm all over whelmed..!!!

And this was a big shock.. I had noticed this fella near my booth and smiling away, and I hadn't a clue who he was, until he started speaking to me. Then I realised it was Mr Pickle himself...Lance Anderson....except I think someone let the air out of his pickle as he is 80 lbs lighter and looking mighty fine.

This gorgeous lady is Aida from Singapore, who apparantly is a big fan, and is making plans to come to my workshops in England. cor blimey missus, can't wait.

I also want to say a  big hello to the fabulous girlies from Made with Love in Singapore who were just delightful. mwah to you Sharon, you were an absolute sweetheart...keep in touch xx

For those of you who took piccies with me, I would love to see them, please forward them to dyan@afth.co.uk then I can blog them.

One of the highlights of the show was actually meeting this girlie..

She is the most truly out of this world inspirational chick I have come across...

Susan Lenart Kazmer

creator of Ice Resin..THE best product of the show in my opinion.

I have a little video to post of her stuff when I get home.

And I will leave you with a pic of my pressie from The lovely Tim himself.

How frikkin cool is that. Just needs a bit of altering with the Dy treatment and some ribbon ties and I'm all set. Yup I know you are sooooo jealous now, lol.

But don't forget, Tim hasn't taught consumers in the Uk for over 6 years and in just 2 weeks he will be landing on British soil and hotfooting it down to Yorkshire to hang out in my studio. We will be shopping, socialising, creating, planning, working extremely hard (aka pratting around.!!). Hmmm and what else.???

Oh of course, you, my lovely, lovely customers will be the very first to see his newest products, and the very lucky ones will be the very first to sample his teaching abilities. I always try to bring you the best before anyone else and we have excelled ourselves this time.

I'm also going to let you into a little secret (don't tell Ben I've told you tho) we kept back , one golden ticket, all this time...!!! Yup, one spare ticket for the experience of being taught by the one and only Mr Tim Holtz. You too could be one of the first to have the pleasure of his company in my studio.

So is this ticket for sale...?? Is it for auction...?? Is it first comes first served..???

No this ticket is going to be given away to one of you, for free, no money, no gimmick...just a little pay it forward from me and Our Ben.

So how do you get your hands on this ticket..??

You need to keep checking back on the blog or face book until I release the details. Tee hee...

I'll leave you with this. Its a clip, from paperclipping.com featuring the designer challenge. And yessy yessy I,m in there . Watch out for a hilarious take on my name. Theres a new one for me, lol.

Enjoy xx

oh my gosh, Dyan. how fab - I'd love to come to your studio to visit, and to work with Tim Holtz. I'd be in such awe, though. I'd probably be speechless the entire time. which, of course, could be a good thing! big sigh ... if wishes could make it so, it'd be me. :-) ~~ Davielle from Encinitas, CA
