News from the retreat

The fabulous Dina Wakely and I have just finished teaching an art retreat in Sunny Florida, organised by the wonderful Michelle McCosh from Everything Scrapbook and Stamps, in Lake Worth.

You might not have heard much about it before the event because it sold out fully in nine days, lol.

The event was held at the Duncan Centre  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az8VPf_j_pY

and was perfect for what we wanted it for.

We started off on the Friday with all 60 women in one room experiencing the true back to back style off me and Dina teaching.

The wonderful Michelle getting the proceedings going.

By the end of the day we had over half of the art journal all prepped and ready to go.

The next two days we split the groups into two to have more intensive classes.

My Saturday girls

And my Sunday girls

We worked, we laughed, we ate, we played, we snorted, we sang, we forged friendships, we BECAME !!!!

Love this picture right at the end when we were all dropping on our feet.

We even wore out the animals…

Michelle and her wonderfully assistant Nancy worked their socks off to make the retreat the success it was. They will need to lie down for a least a week to recover, and I hope you will all join me in saluting them for their hard work!!!

We are definitely planning on repeating this event again so keep your eyes peeled for any news, just remember not to be too slow or we may well sell out again. you snooze you loose, lol

Thurs night we escaped before the mayhem started to a fabulous restaurant right on the waters edge. The Old Key Lime House, where they serve fish to die for and the biggest pieces of key lime pie I have ever seen.

The weather in Florida was absolutely beautiful although I have never heard so many complaints when it dropped to 65!!! Softies…

I am now safely ensconced in my little cubby hole at Ranger Headquarters, looking out at a gorgeous view of snow!!!! Yup its freezing, lol.

Enjoy xx

News from the Tower...

The week started off fabulously, with a couple of art journaling classes at Art from the Heart. love love love chilling with my regulars. I broke out the ONLY set of the new Dylusion paints that I own ( that's how much I love them!!!)

Here's Fridays class

Look at those fabulous art journal covers…

And here's Sundays class

With their fabulous journal covers.

I know you are all waiting for it and I do believe it will start shipping shortly. I'll keep you up to date.

Big, big news indeed but I have a BATH ….and a Toilet…and a sink.
Oh yes the bathroom is well under way and is looking good. It was nice to be back in my house if only for 2 nights lol.

Oh yes… I am on the road again. I set off yesterday morning with high hopes. I should have known better. The first leg went fine but when we boarded at Heathrow they found a problem that needed attending to. Unfortunately we had to sit there for 4 hours before we could take off.
The air staff were fabulous, despite all the moaning and complaints from lots of the passengers. I, personally, can't understand it. I would rather sit there till it was safe to go than land on time.

When we finally landed, I had missed my connection to Florida so had to spend the night in chilly Chicago. Brrrr I had to dig in my suitcase to gt my furry coat out.
Chicago/British Airways hospitality was fabulous and they catered to my every need lol.

Not so impressed this morning when I had to take the 4.30 am shuttle back to the airport.
But I am safely ensconced in the Club recovering from the shock with a hot mug of tea.

I am teaching at the Back2Back retreat next weekend with the fabulous Dina Wakely.
But this weekend I have 3 classes at Everything Scrapbook and Stamps, Lake Worth.
I think we have a couple of places left on the all day painty extravaganza where we will be opening new pots of the luscious Dylusions paint.
Sunday is sold out but Monday has a few places left on the canvas stitched journal.
If you fancy coming to see me and play with the paints, you can book HERE.

Enjoy xx

The ongoing saga at Reaveley Towers...

Todays news…

The tiles are nearly done but the bath is still AWOL!!!
The toilet arrived but can't be fitted as the cistern is broken.
The sink that came was tiny and had to be reordered.
Because the missing bath is freestanding, the floor can't be tiled until they know where to put the pipes.
One step forward, 3 steps back.

Had a fabulous day at AFTH teaching my regular Art Journalers. They were using my new Dylusions paints…the ONLY full set in existence lol and I was teaching them my brayered backgrounds. Sunday journalers don't panic, they didn't empty the jars!!

They made some fabulous covers for their journals.

Here's a few pages I've finished lately

Adventures in Frankfurt

This last weekend saw part of the Ranger team make there way to the Paperworld show in Frankfurt. It is a mahoosive show and we go to support some of our European distributors.

The crowds were massive..

And just kept getting bigger…!!!

But we always have time for some fun.

It was great to spend time with the lovely Finnabair

This gorgeous little girl is Miriam, who, with her Mother drove 3 hrs to see if she could buy any of mine and Tim's products (that's not possible as its a trade show).
She was so excited when she saw I was there in person and when I told her Tim was there she was so excited.
I took her over to where Tim was demoing and got her a front for seat. We all had photos and she was quite overwhelmed bless. I love to see the youngsters being so interested in what we do.

Its always a pleasure to get to spend time with the gorgeous Jayne.

As per usual!, I have come home poorly. I have a really bad chest and unfortunately the bathroom is nowhere near finished, so I am having to stay in a hotel until all the building work is done. Typical, even when I'm home I'm stuck in a hotel room!!!

Ah well
Enjoy xx
