Oh, cut n paste, cut n paste, where 4 art thou cut n paste

Ever get the feeling you,ve been had.??? I do regularly but not as much as tonight and by one of my own sons. I,m a bit brassic at the moment due to the theft of a load of cash last week and so haven't really been shopping. I know, I know its practically unheard of , but there you go,lol. Anyhow tonight, number 2 son, Our Tom, said lets go do a shop Mam, I know you haven't got any money but I have and I need to stock up. So we duly dispatched ourselves to the Supermarket where he managed to fill a large trolley, mainly with provisions for him and Maisie, with the odd thing here and there for me, and the bill was over £100, which he paid. Aww thanks Tom, I said. "No worries Mam, was the reply, you can pay me back as soon as you get paid"...!!!! ???

Many of you will know that I am, a voracious reader, and I read (like every frikkin thing I do, lol) really fast, and over the years have devoured thousands of books. So I was really interested when I found that the BBC had a list of what they considered were the top 100 books. They reckon that the average person will have read 6 on the list..??? So how will you fair..???

The ones I,ve read have got a X at the end. Tried and tried to get them in the right order to no avail. Why oh why is Blogger not allowing cut n paste anymore, cos its doing my freakin head in. I cant get content in, I cant get content out..!! Whats going on..?? Somebody put me out of my misery and explain it to me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaase, before I attempt Hari Kari with an Inktense pencil crayon. Anyhow,so we start with the last 50, lol.

Hi Dyan, Like you I too am a bookaholic so your book list is interesting. About 10 years ago I realised I hadn't read some of the classics and so I went to Leighton Buzzard library and with the help of the librarians there went through a lot of the books on the list so I have read 60 of them. Feeling quite chuffed!! Can recommend this to others of you out there.
Sue
ps your pages are fabulous

I've read 54! I'm quite pleased with myself, now - I read ridiculously fast too. I couldnt' read at all until I was 7 and then something clicked and wooooosh, off I went! The first book I ever read for myself was Pinnochio in an afternoon. My parents never believed that I took any of it in and used to test me on things I'd finished all the time. As you know - us supersonic readers do take it all in, so ner!

Gorgeous pages, particularly love the wand against the colours in the first one!
I have seen that reading list before, I was glad I had read more than six but who cares what you read as long as you enjoy it! There are some great books on there but there are plenty missing too :)

I am on 42 on the list, but a few others on it the other half has so i might have a few more to read in abit. Currently reading empress orchid by anchee min, well just about 5 pages off finishing it, i love it. All about the forbidden city and last empress of china its very sad in parts and hilarious in others, heres a link to a proper review of it. It has 10/10 from me. http://www.curledup.com/empress2.htm

Sorry to hear about the theft, big hugs.

Dyan, I have only read 39, but tale of two cities and all three volumes of the Count of Monte Cristo were read in French, so does that score higher? Love the journal pages BTW. You MUST read Cold Comfort Farm - it is brilliant and very funny.
