waiting to exhale..???? Just frikkin get on with it..!!!

As you all know I am up to my eyes in it. As well as my usual workshops, I am making as many samples for CHA as I can, trying to keep my head above water in the typically bad January we have come to expect, getting the artwork finished for new business cards, prep new downloads, mix new paint colours (yummy or what?) battle with the VAT return, get my head around the Tax return deadline and avoid the Bank Manager.!!! ( If you are reading this, Dear Mr Lovely Bank Manager, that was a joke, I am not avoiding you, you just seemed to have called at all the wrong times !!!!!) lol

I am tired, grumpy, panicky, stressed, drained, frantic, and skint all at the same time and the last thing I needed was a night out.!!!

Or was it.??

I threw caution to the wind, said bollocks to the deadlines, picked up Grommit, kicked up my heels and took to the road.!!

And how frikkin thankful am I that I did..??

I had the best time, I danced my little ass off, laughed, joked, flirted, and generally blew away the cobwebs. It has left me feeling renewed and ready to face everything with a new energy

Nothing has changed , I am still dealing with all the shitty things being thrown at me, but I have had a moment where I have come up for air.

Sometimes the best and most productive thing to do when you are soooooooooooooooo busy is to just step back and breathe, take the time to light the fire in your soul, to re-invigorate your enthusiasm and to honour YOU.!!

As the airline crews always say

"put your own mask on first before assisting others!".....

Heres some of the motley crew who breathed energy and the warmth of friendship into me.

I know Grommit looks a bit wasted but that was actually just his first pint, lol. Plus Eli and Kev.

Gorgeous , gorgeous, gorgeous Spook, who has battled his demons to become one of the most glad to be alive people I know. xx

Laughing Nige, who always makes me feel special xx

The lovely Jackie and the hilarious Lynnie pops..xx

everyone doing their own little dance, all different, all unique, but all to the same beat.!!

Tonight reminded me of this amazing quote.....

I learned to live many years ago,
Something really, really bad happened to me,
something that changed my life in ways that,
if I had my druthers,
it would never have been changed at all.
what I learned from it is what, today,
seems to be the hardest lesson of all.
I learned to love the journey, not the destination.
I learned that it is not a dress rehearsal,
and that today is the only guarantee you get.
I learned to look at all the good in the world
and to try to give some of it back,
because I believed in it completely and utterly.
And I tried to do that, in part,
by telling others what I had learned.
By telling them this:

Consider the lilies of the field.
Look at the fuzz on a baby’s ear.
Read in the backyard with the sun on your face.
Learn to be happy.
And think of life as a terminal illness
because if you do you will live it with the joy
and passion it ought to be lived.

Enjoy xx
