Catch up...

Whey hey me hearties...yes I am finally starting to pick up a bit..!!! Whatever it was that was hanging g around and making me miserable has finally slung its frikkin hook, and about time too..!!!So you are in for a long catch up today. Grab a cuppa and a couple of chocolate digestives and settle in...

As you know Thursday was my birthday and I had a fabby day, thank you for all your wishes, cards and pressies. I am quite liking this getting spoilt thing now.!!

But I was completely bowled over when this arrived for me.

an you tell what it s yet ?

Oh yes it's only the one and only Vagabond, sent from the lovely Mr Tim Holtz and the gorgeous Mr Mario Rossi. Cheers guys you are little stars. xxx and I am sure that Ben will be happier using this than the bright pink bigshot.!!

He's already nicked it to put in with his displays...

Thursday night the girlies took me out for a meal

I only had the one strawberry daiquiri..!!!

And when I got home look what was waiting for me in my bed....

Priceless...

This weekends workshop was Altered Books, and what a fantastic time we had. Bezzie Su treated herself to a birthday pressie and graced us with her professionalism.!!

Yes we are massacring books...but we did it ever so gently...

Oooops, it helps if the tutor can actually see out of her eye...

I was as professional as ever...

Saturday night saw me celebrating with my mates at a Northern do.

This is Mary whose birthday is tomorrow

Nige, who seems to have grown a foot, birthday was Saturday

Vic whose birthday it is EVERY day I'm there to brighten up his little life, lol

Sandy Poppins with my Grommit

Frighteningly our combined ages are 161..!!! Luckily I am the youngest, tee hee.

Of course we were in perfect nick to carry on the workshop on Sunday.

and just to prove they actually did some work...

Remember the earlier photo of Steph, looking stressed to the eyeballs.?? Well here's proof that a weekend with me reaches the parts other weekends can't reach, lol...

For those of you gutted that you couldn't get on it, as it sold out ages ago, I have some new weekend workshop dates ready for you, and will post them next time.

To top it all off I had another invite to tea on Sunday night, from the most gorgeous grand daughter in the world, who believe it or not is 5 next week. Lordy be...

Can't believe we have had the pleasure of loving her for 5 wonderful, flown by, years. She is my sunshine in these murky waters. I hear of the horrendous news in Japan and I hold her tight and realise how lucky and blessed I am. My heart goes out to the thousands whose lives have been devastated by the terrible tragedy. Mother nature deals some horrifically unjustifiable cards at times.

After being vaguely unwell for some time, I feel I must now be having a growth spurt..!! Already today I have had,

a bowl of cheerios (large)
crinkle crunch coconut biscuits (5 of course)
AND Peri Peri chicken and McCain Chunky oven chips.

And its only half past one. I usually don't even think of food till later in the day, lol. Ah well, if only I could find Maisies stash of chocolate.....

Will be back with news of the, seemingly, never ending deliveries into the shop, including a suitcase full of skulls..!!!

Enjoy xx

I am a new follower, much to my disgust as I have seen you on the tele and know of you from a mutual friend - in your business, her not me. I love your quirkyness and amazing art. One day I shall visit your shop - though I may find it very hard to leave again.

Ooh...I love skulls - can't wait to see them. I enjoyed your post as much as always - a real visit.I'm so glad that you were feeling better and were able to have a proper birthday. Tons of good wishes. I'm timing my next visit to Amsterdam (native Dutch girl transplanted to Seattle) so that I can take a workshop. Just the pics look wonderful. My heart goes out to the Japanese and they have been on my mind all weekend. There's no such thing as an ordinary day, is there. A big birthday hug.

OMG, OMG, you got The Vagabond!! You so deserve it, enjoy every minute. A belated Happy Birthday, it looks like you had a wonderful time & I'm so glad you're feeling better.
I'm saving all the pennies I can so that I can attend one of your workshops - not for the workshop, but for the cost of train & hotel fare!! One day.......
Have a great week.
