But we don't approach sample making in the way people feel we would.
I very, very rarely make anything from start to finish in one go!! That takes too much concentration and thinking. Because of my Bipolar and ADHD I am too easily distracted with other things, shiny or otherwise, lol. So I do lots of the same thing at one time, then switch onto something else. This way I build up lots of the individual components needed and it is a simple case of pulling them all together for the finished article.
For eg., today I am finishing up a butt load of tag samples and this is how.
Sheets and sheets of stamped images…
and stamped quotes…
After a cutting out session this is what you have…
Ready made tags from all the demoing…
mix and match images and quotes onto the tags…
Get out your water brushes filled with neat Dylusions ink…
Colour in accents on the images…
Here's a few finished today…
Enjoy xx

Your work is always stunning!
Thanks for being brave and mentioning adhd and bipolar. There's lots of us out here.
Wow - these are so cool!
Everything you do is gorgeous!! Even the pile of cut out images and the ring full of background tags! I'm just glad you share all of it with us. :) The finished tags are fantastic. I'm loving creating with your new paints by the way!
Love this post and the way your mind works! These are wonderful and I can't wait to get started on some of my own.
Thanks! You make me re-think how I do things and open possibilities to me. I am also so excited that you Dyan are coming to New Braunfels TX. All signed up and checking off the days. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Oh, Dyan, these are incredible! Thank you so much for the great inspiration!
I love this blog post.
I always stamp out a lot of images before I color them in and put them together and always wondered whether or not that was a very productive way to work on my pieces. But it is the way I love to do it because I just can't wait to see the new stamps I've purchased stamped onto paper.
I so wish you would be close to Buffalo again so I could take more of your classes.
haha, love the wit (sarcasm) of these quotes together....now I have ADHD because I want to drop everything and dig out your stamps and play.....
Gorgeous samples, no matter what way you make them (all that cutting would drive me crazy!)
You are making a difference by speaking up about mental illness. I really love how you talk and advocate on how to art journal for wellness. xoxo
