Would you like the good news…….

…….or the bad lol.

Unfortunately, since I last saw,  you things have not been going too well with my health.  I, somehow, managed to catch a virus, somewhere betweenSan Fransisco and Frankfurt, which practically wiped the floor with me. It greatly accelerated the sleep/breathing issue that I have to the point that, although I was sleeping 18/20 hrs a day, I was getting no proper sleep and so have ended up severely sleep and oxygen deprived. This meant that the time I actually was awake I was totally disorientated and unable to function.  The combination of this and severe post viral fatigue has really knocked me for six and has, at times, made me wonder if my ME was trying to rear its ugly head.
Luckily everyone has been really understanding, as I have cancelled engagements left right and centre and concentrated on letting my body heal.
Unfortunately all future plans are still on hold until I start to really improve.
Last week I thought I had, at last, turned a corner, only to find myself proved wrong in the last few days!! The longer I manage to stay awake, the more oxygen I am taking in and therefore the better I feel, and therefore coped well at the workshops I was teaching and so I am slowly working myself up to the two this weekend.
There are still a few places on them if you would like to come and partake in my oxygen therapy!!!

Fri 28th Feb - Large Abstract Canvas - 10-4pm

Do you admire the canvas's hanging in the corridor? Would you love to learn how to create your own. Well now's your chance. Join Dyan as she takes you through the steps needed. The morning will be spent learning the techniques on a large practise board. Once you feel confident, with your colour choices, you will be ready to start the final piece. Come along and astound yourself.

Come and join Dyan in a 7 hr book making extravaganza. The Star book is one of our most requested workshops and this star book far exceeds all expectations! A massive 12 pages, and 24 pockets stuffed with tags and charms. She has combined the fabulous Laborotorie papers from Tim Holtz with the Dylusions range of skulls and spookiness to produce a fabulous handmade book. Cutting, folding, sticking, stamping, painting, creating, a pinch of this and a pinch of that all blended together with fun and chocolate, to create the most wonderful keepsake.
The workshop includes all materials including a full pad of the Tim Holtz Laborotorie papers

Whilst I am awake and functioning for a short while, I really really want to post some of the samples from CHA.

I'll start off with two from the lovely Kate Crane

three from the lovely Kaz Hall

Kaz did me a lot more, but I seem to have misplaced the photos at the moment, sorry Kaz !

All stamp images for the above are available HERE

The lovely Sandra Hall and the gorgeous Jay Reaveley went to town with my new Hat couture stamps.

Heres Sandras traditional take on them

and Jays more abstract approach

I will share some more of Jay's work in a later post.

I will leave you with some of my samples

All stamps, stencils and inks etc for the above Dylusions samples are available HERE

Hey Dy
Sorry to hear you are unwell, but I have never seen anyone work like you do, you are at full speed alot and although i think you are amazing, you must now have time to get well. Then you will be off again, so do some down time, everything will still be there when you get back, they cannot do without your super talent. They might not get you back at all unless you do as your told!!
On a selfish note, I hope to see you at AFTH on Friday 14th March, Ben said you are open so I am looking forward to seeing you.

P.s. Stunning projects, gorgeous stamps and beautiful colours.

If you are coughing take Benalyn EXTRA Strength cough syrup- the one that says for wet cough on the side of the bottle. I used it and started sleeping and so did my elderly sister and a friend who also had the same thing. They were able to sleep properly after taking it. Get well soon!
