Teaching in America.....

I am sneaking in this blog whilst teaching (ahem !!!) the Sewing configurations tray workshop.  As you can see the ladies are soooo engrossed in their work and don't need my help, therefore I am rendered redundant, lol.

So I am going to take this opportunity to tell you about the fabulous place I will be teaching in whilst over in the States for CHA.

Just look at these fabulous piccies of the place...

How frikkin cool is that place..???  I think it will be a real struggle to leave there.!!!

So where is this fabulous place , I can hear you all screaming..??

It is the fabulous ...The Queens Ink.....in Savage, Maryland.

The proprietor Patti is a real scream and I can't wait to do my thing.  If you are anywhere near get yourself booked on and experience a Dy workshop. I just hope you are all ready for me..!!! A quirky, whirlwindy, chatterboxy bundle of fun. It will be like a Tornado coming into town, picking you all up, whirling you all around, depositing you back down exhausted, wondering what on earth happened.!! lol. Well maybe not as bad as that, but be warned, I work you hard.Inky painty techniques are my passion and I want to teach you as much as I can. So stock up on your sleep and hang on to your hats, I'm armed with Ranger and Dylusions and I'm a-coming to get you..!!!

Here's some peeks of the classes..

Accordion book.

This is made using some of my favourite techniques, ghosting and top texture (alla Dina). We wll be inking to our hearts content, ghosting, adding top texture, stencilling, re inking, sticking, hand sewing, stamping with my Dylusions stamps, ink painting, doodling and more. Messy, messy and more..yee hah.

Mini canvas

We will be creating a collagy, painty background, using the Adirondack dabbers and gesso. Building up a collage with my Dylusions stamps, adding bling with Perfect Pearls, powders and mists. And an added extra quirk.

Kraft Resist mini book.

Tim's new Kraft resist paper is just crying out to be altered. I know I am known for my bright colours, but on this workshop I want to show you some tricks with the Distress Stains, for a more subdued calm look. Yes I did say subdued and calm in the same sentence, lol.!!! Lots of experimenting with colours, hand sewn tag ins, lots of stamping with my Dylusions stamps, add a cover and some sticky back canvas and voila... a treasure to behold.!!

For those attending the workshops, I have an idea you might be the first customers to get to see my new range of Dylusions stamps, hot off the press...so to speak..!! I might even have some to play with..fingers crossed.

If you are already booked on the classes drop me a line so I can put names to faces and see how giddy you all are..!!

Here's some backgrounds I have been busily working on for the show.

And you might find something of interest in this next picture..!!!

Sorry I haven't posted much lately but everything I am working on at the moment is top secret, shot at dawn stuff. Hopefully Press Releases will be sent out over the next week and then I can spill the beans a little bit more.

Here's two journal pages to keep you going

Enjoy xx
