Art from the Heart's 10th Birthday Party Celebrations.........

Art from the Heart welcome you to our 10th Birthday party on the 10th & 11th of September. We will be having ten 1hr taster workshops over the weekend from Dyan Reaveley, Kate Crane, Kirsty Wiseman, Sandra Hall and Suzy Flintoff. There will also be demonstrations going on in the shop all weekend by our teachers and we will be also having our workshop preview weekend for all of our Winter workshops. Workshops will be previewed for September, October, November & December. All new workshops booked on the weekend will receive a 10% discount!

During the weekend we will also be having a charity raffle which will include prizes from some of the industries biggest names - Tim Holtz, Claudine Hellmuth, Wendy Vecchi, Jenni Bowlin, Dylusions, Ranger and Stampers Anonymous. Some of the prizes have been made and signed by the very talented artists and we are very lucky to have them.

We will be open from 8am until 6pm on both days, so if you are attending the GNPS you can also drop in, as we are only a five minute drive away from the show ground. We will be serving teas, coffees and cakes during the day and we also have the 'Indulge' cafe below us who serve beautiful sandwiches, wraps, jacket potato's, salads, paninis and more from 8am to 8pm.

For all you blog lovers out there we will also be running a birthday blog hop that will be run by the wonderful Janet Clarke. This will be running the weekend before the event and we will have 5 blog hop teams running. To be a team member you need to have an active blog (If your last post was in 2010 it's not active), but you don't need to have a blog to follow the hop! There will be prizes on offer as well. If you would like to be a member of one of the teams email me at info@afth.co.uk and I'll pass your details on to Janet where she will inform you of what is needed.

Bookings for the workshops can be made below and places are limited to a maximum of 3 workshops per day and a maximum of 6 per transaction. This is to give everybody an equal chance of getting on the workshops. Please stick to these guidelines as bookings with more than the allowed number of workshops will have workshops deleted. Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment!

Workshop bookings and more details - HERE

(Kate Cranes workshops on the Saturday are the same workshop, so please only book on one of these. This is also the same for Sandra Hall's workshops on Sunday, so again please only book on one of these).

We hope to see lots of you here over the weekend

Many Thanks

Dyan xx

Ps for those of you with blogs and who would be kind enough to put our birthday blog on your blog with a link back to the birthday  page we would be very grateful! If you leave a comment below saying that you have added the button you will be entered into a prize draw where you could win one of Dyan's brand new Dylusions stamp sets!

Last day......

Last day of the reveals, before we all set off on our journeys from different parts of the globe. I, as you have come to expect, am totally up to date and ready. Samples done, bags packed, everything ship shape and in perfect order....!!!!!!!

WTF.????? Sorry dreaming again.!!!!!

Still in full blue arsed fly mode..!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway...

Tim's are HERE

Wendy's are HERE

And mine are Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere.........................

DS019 Say what you mean.

Yet another set of quote stamps, but this time with a difference.  Oh yes, you asked for them and you've got them. My weird, tell it like is, pearls of wisdom.

Classics include....

"If at first you don't succeed...give up !! "

"Never be too proud to serve frozen peas"

And the much requested...

"I don't like you, you're very ugly and have no manners at all.!"

Then a big fave of mine, my background set...

DS020 Basic Backgrounds

So that's t all 12 of my stamp releases, unfortunately I have left all the samples of the last 2 sets at work so no piccies, big oops and all that. I'll try remember to put some on tomorrow.

Had a fabby workshop today, another of the extremely popular BIG canvas painting class.  As before the students were absolutely brilliant and produced stunning results.

Sexy Susie was fed up of waiting for me to come up with the promised goods for her dining room, so had to do it herself, and a mighty fine job she made.

Anne-Marie, showing how far she has come from having to have everything in a straight line, lol

Steph with an unusual but really effective colour scheme.

Julie's canvas, very serene and calming...just like her....Not !!!! lol

Jen started off wanting hot reds, but made a fabby choice of blues and browns.

The texture on Jackies really, really jumps out at you. Stunning.!!

Really vibrant colour scheme from Anna, again super 3d quality...

Chris stunned herself with the brilliant finish of her canvas.

And Ali, back for her 2nd canvas in 2 weeks...Not sure which of hers I prefer..!!

And here's mine...Yes I did another, you can't teach with out demoing, lmao... Anyway Our Ben has nicked the first one so that only leaves me with two..!!

Well done ladies I salute you. There will be another canvas class in the Winter brochure for those of you who are green with envy and kicking yourself for not booking..

Whilst many of you are enjoying the hot weather, I am fearful that Our Ben is suffering from a massive attack of sunstroke...

Why.?? you may ask..

Well he's only frikkin gone and reduced loads of the Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz stamps. !! Now I know we have to make way for all the new but you should see how much he's knocked them down to. If I were you I would get them in your baskets pronto, before his hallucinations stop and he returns to normal.!!! Find them HERE and HERE.

OK bath and a cheeky glass of Vimto awaits...

Enjoy xx

Fighting fit...or fit to drop..??

Time is now ticking on extremely fast and I am in the middle of extreme blue arsed fly mode....normal behaviour for me then !!! But, and it is a large BUT...I am also trying to keep myself fit and healthy throughout. I am only too aware that the last time I flew back from Chicago I was very nearly at death's door and I have no wish to repeat any of that in a hurry. So I am trying to eat regularly and with wholesome foods.

Breakfast was porridge.
Lunch was a selection of M & S's finest whole and super foods.

And tonight we had Roast beef, Rosemary roast potato's, green veg, Yorkshire puds and gravy....Topped off with berry and cherry jelly terrine .. Polishes halo and grins manically. Tomorrow it will be back to bagels, Wispas and malted milk biccies. tee hee

OK onto today's reveals.

Tim's are HERE

Wendy's are HERE

and Claudines are HERE

And mine are heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere....

The first is DS017 Bags of Bunting

And as the name suggests you can never have too much bunting....

single flags in every design, some on book page and a baby string for your tags. Also some number stamps , great for backgrounds

And DS018  Write between the lines

This is a much awaited release for many. It is all the inners I use to write my journaling in all available for you to quickly stamp. Wavy lines, arched lines, chequered lines and just plain old scruffy lines. It will save oodles of time, that you can then spend on your journaling. Also 3 sizes of tags that can be used separately or layered up and a journaling circle just crying out to be doodled around.

Here you can see I have made the body from the number stamps, bunting and numbers for the hat, and scruffy lines for the journaling.

Bunting in the background, bunting and number hat and stamped borders

Here you can see I have stamped the tags, masked them and added the leaves over the top.

Very similar, just finished off...Love this effect. you can journal yourself or, as in this case, add one of my stamped quotes.

The journaling is written between the wavy line stamp.

That's all the samples today, I am in the middle of a massive cutting out session ready for the flight...got my glue stick packed and my audio books transferred to my iphone...so woe betide the chatty person who has the misfortune to sit by me, cos I will not be conversing...no way Jose....

Enjoy xx
